Background

Tisha is an employment and civil litigation lawyer who has over 10 years of experience providing strategic and practical advice to clients. She loves the human element that goes into the practice of law and recognizes that behind every case is a story. This perspective allows her to tailor her strategy to the specific nuances of each client’s situation.

Tisha’s clients include both employees and employers, including many small to medium-sized businesses in the Oakville, Burlington, and Mississauga area. Tisha’s background as a board member of a large non-profit organization, and her membership in various local chambers of commerce, gives her unique insights into business and governance which help shape her advocacy.

Tisha advises on a wide array of workplace matters including wrongful dismissals, drafting contracts and policies, negotiating executive compensation, employee discipline and termination of employment, human rights related issues, and workplace violence and harassment issues.

Tisha also maintains a growing practice area in civil litigation, particularly in the areas of real estate litigation and commercial disputes. She is also seasoned in enforcing court orders.

Tisha has successfully appeared at various levels of courts and tribunals across Ontario, including the Divisional Court, Superior Court, Small Claims Court, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Social Security Tribunal, and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Education

Tisha was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017 and has a JD from the University of Manitoba and a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto, where she double majored in Economics and Sociology.

In 2024, she also completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Relations and Employment Law at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Hobbies

Apart from work, Tisha is a die-hard Law & Order fan, likes reading fiction, enjoys running outdoors, and loves spending time with her family.
